Basically what will happen they will move your stuff to a military storage place in Germany for up to 6months plus while your husband is looking for housing there. Have the Army do it now, you shouldn't have to pack or move it. Take the Orders down to housing office and ask them what you will need to do this.. I believe you will need a special power of attorney.. I also believe they will ship your car for free on those orders, also ask them how you do this. Your husband should have been thoroughly briefed at his LEVY briefing and not sure why he isn't sharing the news.. Household goods should have been scheduled like way long ago as soon as he got his orders, not sure why you all are waiting til the last minute.. I think your best bet is to save money is to have the movers move your stuff before you go see your family.. and then fly out from where ever you are, just tell the reservations people on post where you will be and when.. Your husband can do it for you on his end.. Not sure again why you are being deferred. When I went to Germany I took my family and they put us up in on post lodging while my husband in processed for up to 10days and then we got housing.. well anyway have fun
