Is there scientific proof of global flood?

Is there scientific proof of global flood in the past 10,000 years?I took a college level geology class and don't recall that being discussed. I already know that to get this much variation in species it takes longer than 10,000 years. Yes I am speaking of the ark legend. Please site your source if you can think of any science related to this topic.
